850 mb temperatures showing colder air moving in during the weekend through early next week.

For the past few days, I’ve been keeping an eye on a developing system that’s expected to move through the Great Lakes region later this weekend.  As it passes to our north, colder air from Canada will wrap around the backside into the Mid-Atlantic.  Right now it doesn’t look like this system will produce any type of precipitation…but temperatures will be chilly…high’s around 60 and overnight lows in the mid-30′s.  This is the coldest air we’ve seen since back in March/April.  Will have to keep watch on this…but things look to be shifting towards a colder pattern for the rest of the month…won’t be long until the snow starts to fly!
